Fates does allow a Dual Strike partner to use their skills, ala Astra or Luna unlike Awakening, but when it came to gameplay, myself and others preferred Awakening instead. Pair Up being changed to Dual Guard only every 5 attacks instead of a chance on every attack, and the removal of Dual Strike if units are paired up instead of right next to each other. Corrin is a bit of a bland protagonist, the return of a popular feature from Awakening that made zero sense in Fates, the sine graph difficulty curve of Birthright, the overcomplication of reclassing units and cutting down on options from Awakening. Fri 24th Feb Fates doesn't deserve all of the hate it gets, but things do add up.
